TERMS OF SERVICE/USE

This is a generic ToS Document that applies to the vast majority of services. If your commission requires any additional clauses to be included, you will be sent an amended version directly.

GENERAL
Unless specifically opted out of, commissions may contain "sample" content (pre-made loops). This is to lower the cost to the client by saving composition & production time. All samples used are copyright safe, and legally obtained. If you do not wish for sampled content to be used in your piece, this can be requested at additional cost.PAYMENTS
All presented prices are based on an estimate of how much time a commission will take to complete. If a project is at risk of exceeding that estimate due to revisions or extra requests, fair notice will be given and you (the client) can choose whether to wrap up the project ASAP, or pay additional fees to extend the work done on the piece.REVISIONS
Once the project passes the initial ideas phase, small revisions can be made to the piece as it progresses at no additional cost. Any major revisions can be done at additional cost, but at the composers discretion.USE
All commissions include something called a "synchronization license." This gives you permission to publish the music only if accompanied by video content in which the music is not the primary content. This means that you can use it for promo, live streams, and VOD content, but cannot upload it to a service like Spotify. This license does not cover uploads to YouTube in which the music provided is the primary content.If you wish to purchase additional licensing for other commercial purposes, the terms will need to be negotiated. Please mention your commercial intent ASAP, as the revenue split will vary depending on how much was paid during production.Appropriate credit is required for all commissions. This can be in the form of a bot !command in your livestream, the artist badge on your livestream, or in the panels/description of your primary content platforms where the music is used.REFUNDS
Full refunds are available to clients who have not received evidence of work being done on their piece within 3 months of payment, on request. Partial refunds may be available based on progress, but eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis. Please rest assured that the intent of this is to make things fair for all involved parties.COMMUNICATION
It's preferred that any communication regarding your commission is done through VGen's DM feature, X's DM system, or via Discord, so that there is permanent evidence of the working correspondence. Depending on the needs of the project, communications may move to other platforms. Please keep in mind that any correspondence outside of VGen or X that is specifically related to the project may be recorded via screenshots to preserve the integrity of the transaction. These screenshots can be requested at any time by the client.You can expect a message approximately a week before work on your project is ready to start.
You will be provided with regular updates as the project progresses. It's very important that you feel happy with how the music is developing.If a WIP is provided to you, but no feedback/communication is returned within a week, then your project may be moved to the back of the current commission queue.
